A standardized pool cleaning checklist ensures consistent quality across all villas your team manages. Here’s what to include.
Why checklists matter for pool cleaning
Pool water chemistry can change rapidly in tropical climates. A missed step today can mean green water and an angry owner in 48 hours. Standardized checklists ensure every worker performs every step, every time.
Water chemistry checks
Test and adjust: pH (target 7.2-7.6), free chlorine (1-3 ppm), total alkalinity (80-120 ppm), and cyanuric acid (30-50 ppm). Record all readings in the job log. Flag any readings outside acceptable ranges immediately.
Physical cleaning steps
Skim surface debris, brush walls and steps, vacuum floor, clean skimmer baskets and pump strainer, and check all equipment is operating correctly.
Documentation
Take a before photo (showing water condition and any visible issues) and an after photo (showing clean pool). Record all chemical readings. Report any equipment issues or damage with photos immediately.
